What is ReadyEddy?
ReadyEddy is a parent-and-teen app for chats, lists, and budget sims — adult life prep, with you as the captain. Meet them where they are at.
How much does it cost?
$4.99 once. No subscription.
How do teens join?
You send a parent link code. They download free.
Do we need Apple Family Sharing?
No.
What is it not?
Not professional financial, career, or therapy advice. Not a bank, counselor, or crystal ball.
Who is it for?
Parents and other adults who want a way to talk careers, money, and life skills with a teen — on the teen’s timeline.
What devices does it run on?
iPhone, iOS 17.6 or later. Not iPad, not Android.
Is there an Android or iPad app?
No.
What does the teen pay?
Nothing. They get in when you unlock the app and they join with your code.
How does the parent code work?
A 6-digit code. It lasts 24 hours and works once. After that it is used or expired, and you make a new one.
How many teens can I link?
Up to 5.
Does every linked teen get AI?
You can link up to 5. Every linked teen gets chat, lists, budget, and the AI tab. Parent Career, Financial, and custom analysis only runs for the first 3 teens you linked.
Can a mentor or counselor use it?
Yes. There is no separate mentor account. Whoever signs up as the adult is the captain.
What can we do in the app?
Chats, to-do lists with rewards, an in-app budget sim, and AI career and money what-ifs.
What does my teen see vs. what I see?
You get home, chat, to-dos, AI, and budget, plus adding tasks and importing a list. Teens get profile, chat, to-dos, AI, and budget. They cannot buy, and they do not get the Career or Financial AI buttons.
How do to-dos and rewards work?
Lists you build together. The teen can request a reward; you approve or deny. You can also mark a reward already approved.
What is a budget sim?
Fake job numbers and sample spend inside the app, for the talk. Not a bank. No website budget tool.
What does the AI actually do?
It reads chats and to-dos already in the app. Financial also looks at that teen’s in-app budget. You get Career, Financial, and custom. Empty chats make empty answers. It is grayed until you have paid.
Do I have to use the AI?
No. Lists, chats, and the budget sim work without it.
Who sees our chats and lists?
Only the linked adult and teen. No extra viewer role. We do not sell data.
Do I need notifications?
No. Push is optional after login. The app still works if you decline (badges only).
How do I delete my account?
Parent home, Delete Account. You have to unlink teens first. That removes the parent account. It does not wipe chats, to-dos, or rewards. Email support@readyeddy.net if you need a full cleanup.
Can my teen delete their own account?
No. On the teen’s profile you can Delete Teen Account. That unlinks them and removes their ReadyEddy profile. It does not delete their Apple login.
Do you collect location, photos, or bank logins?
No. No location, no photos, no bank connect. The budget sim is fake numbers.
Are there ads?
No.
Is there a waitlist?
No. Buy on the App Store, send a code.
Does this replace me talking to my kid?
No. Guardrails so the talks land. You still show up.
